Before 2013, Y.H.H. for years has been exclusively handling second hands cars for car dealerships, auto shops and some smaller scrap car companies all over Hong Kong. Now, with the support of thousands of car-owners, we are expanding our retail segment. We understand scrap car industry to most of car-owner is kind of a mystery industry. Therefore, we would like to explain it a little bit of what we do.

How  does auto scraping and recycling business really  operate 

Scraping a car is a not always turning a car in the scrap metal. Sure, in some cases we will take part the car. Collect all the reusable parts and re-apply to car repairing, as well as recycling the metal part of the car.

In recent years , scrap car in Hong Kong has changed. Because of the  raise of many developing countries  such as south Asia, parts of Africa, South America. Due to the fact that repairing and maintenance cost is much lower in those places than developed counties such as Hong Kong.  Most of the cars we collected will end up having the "second life" in those places.

What we really do with the cars we collect?

When think of scrap a car, you may think of big machines slamming a car into a ball or big saw cutting through a car and turn them into scrap metal. Yes, those are part of it (and the fun part of it) , yet scraping a car is a not always turning a car in the scrap metal.

But most of what really happen to the scrap car are we have our mechanic team to apart the car, collect all the reusable parts and re-apply to car repairing, or export them. After that, for the unwanted car frame and some parts we will process them and have it recycled.

In the past recent years, in some cases, the car is repairable, yet not cost efficient in Hong Kong because of the regulation or the demand. With the low logistic cost, we can export the car to places where the car can be repaired and even modified. In another word, the second life of your car.
